About Denielle

Childhood

Dreams

I have been creating ever since I can remember ... from mud pies to sewing clothes for my barbies. My lovely mum taught me the skills of yarn at a very young age and my love for all things crafty grew from there.

My Love Of Craft

I have played with all types of craft and have been an avid crafter since the age of about 7. As a qualified Dress Designer & Maker I naturally turn to all things creative, I quilt, bead, knit, crochet, cross stitch and  I began papercrafting in 2010 and I totally fell in love with it. I joined Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator and I  haven't looked back.

Creating is my passion and my life.

Makers Craft Retreats

I started to run my own Craft Retreats ( Craft Camps )  in 2010 for my need to be with like minded women, all crafting and inspiring each other. These retreats became a quintessential part of my life, as well as the ladies that attend my retreats. I needed these crafty breaks as they were like a therapy for me. Women need women! We really do - we need to banter, laugh, vent, support, congratulate, inspire, teach ! Our retreats are just the break you need!

You wont know you actually needed the break until you do!

Over the years I have met with many ladies that also love to have their own retreat and now  I run several Craft Retreats a year. They run from 3 days to 5 days. We are in an 150 year old school, with the most gorgeous surroundings. There are two crafting areas that are open 24hours and both boast daylight globes, so ample light for crafting into the wee hours if required. Enjoy a generous 1.3 mtrs table space to work on  B.Y.O craft supples and relax and craft away. There is no craft agenda, so your time is your own.

The kitchen is at one end of the main craft room and this is open plan,

so no hiking to the kitchen for meals.

The accommodation whilst basic is clean and comfortable. There are 6 rooms, some in the original building, some in a newer extension. Each room has 3 beds. The beds are comfy, pillows and doonas supplied. Prices start as low as $269 per person, this includes 3 days crafting, 2 afternoon teas, unlimited Tea & Coffee and of course your accommodation.

There is also the opportunity to visit to the Wonderful Historical Tocal Homestead with a Devonshire Tea. This is something you would arrange yourself, Tocal Homestead is open every Sunday March until November.
